Coach Brian, a Detroit native, is the founder and basketball director of Hoop Supreme LLC. He offers 18 years of coaching and player development experience. Known as a "players coach" for his ability to build relationships with players on and off the court, began his coaching journey as a boys varsity high school assistant coach at his alma mater Detroit Cooley High School in 2005. He would serve as a high school assistant coach for two seasons.
Relocating to Atlanta in 2006, Coach Brian, immersed himself in the emerging basketball training culture and would continue as a player development coach over the next 16 years, for youth, high school, collegiate, and professional-level players.
In 2011, Coach Brian served as the lead youth basketball development coach for the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Academy. Conducted youth basketball camps and clinics to encourage the growth and development of the game of basketball, and delivered competitive and fun programs to youth on all skill levels. In 2012, Served as a lead player development coach at The Skill Factory. He provided on-the-court individual and group skill workouts for high school, college, and professional-level players. In 2014, Coach Brian joined the Ultimate Hoops training program at Lifetime Fitness to develop basketball training programs for youth to pro-level players. Moreover, conducting customized on-the-court basketball skills development workouts, clinics, and team training.
Playing experience:
Coach Brian was a four-year varsity point guard for basketball powerhouse Detroit Cooley High School from 1990-1994. He was a member of the Detroit Public School League City Championship team and was selected to the Michigan vs Ohio All-star team as a senior. After high school, Coach Brian signed with the University of Oregon and played with the Ducks for two seasons from 1994-1996, helping the Ducks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 23 years during the 1994-95 season. Coach Brian Transferred to Tennessee State University from 1997 to 1999. He led the Tigers to the OVC Conference Championship game and was selected to the OVC All-Tournament Team.
Education:
Coach Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University.
